Andry and I In Front of the Camera!
As a photographer, I recognize and highly value the importance of photos. That’s why it’s so important to me that Andry and I step in front of the camera every once in a while.
Even before I became a photographer, I’ve always loved photos. I love having photos to look back on and I love having them printed and hanging in my home. Whenever I’m sad (or I just can’t sleep at night), I scroll through photos on my phone to remind myself of all of the wonderful people in my life and how much I’m loved. When I see the canvases hanging in our house from our wedding, it brings me so much joy. I would love to print some photos from some of our couple’s sessions after our wedding too, like our honeymoon photos.
One thing I haven’t done yet is print and hang any of my landscape or travel photos. For either Christmas or my birthday this year, I’m asking for a metal print of my favorite photo I’ve ever taken, at sunset in Venice, Italy on the canal. If you haven’t heard of metal prints, I highly recomend checking them out! It’s something I offer to all of my clients. Maybe one of these days, I will put up a blog post with some of my travel photos. My photos from Europe especially are some of my favorites.
Anyway, all of this to say, yesterday, Andry and I got some new photos taken of us. As I discussed in my last post, Kaylee and I met up with our significant others (and her adorable puppy) to exchange photos. I’m so glad we were able to find a little bit of fall left in downtown Indianapolis for this session. Andry and I arrived early to take some head shots for each other (he needed some for his wedding DJ business). Then, Kaylee took some beautiful photos of the two of us. I’m obsessed with them! I love getting photos done with my husband so much. It’s one of my favorite things to do. Kaylee also took a few head shots for me at the end of our session. Andry takes a lot of my head shots, but it’s always so great to get them taken by another photographer, since each person’s creative eye is so unique.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from our shoot. These were taken by Kaylee (and a few by Andry and myself) and edited by me. Enjoy!
